Reunion planned for Lakeside Radar Base

A reunion for all who served at the 716th Radar Base in Lakeside at any time during its operation between 1961 and 1978 will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, July 22, at the Elks Club in Kalispell.

Introductions and organizational planning will take place and a no-host dinner will be served. At least one of the commanding officers, Lt. Col. Ingram, will be in attendance.

This is the first reunion for the Kalispell Air Base. The living area of the air base, which was at the base of Blacktail Mountain, was purchased in 1985 by Youth With A Mission as a training base for missionaries.
