The Glacier All-Stars defeated the Helena All-Stars 16-6 in five innings on the second day of play at the State Babe Ruth 13U baseball tournament on Thursday at Sapa-Johnsrud Field in Columbia Falls.

Jesse Walburn pitched the first two innings for Glacier and Jed Nagler finished up.

Glacier led 5-4 after the first inning and 9-5 after two innings.

Colten Parker doubled in the fourth inning to drive in a couple runs for Glacier.

Glacier (20-5) plays the Bitterroot All-Stars tonight at 8 in the semifinals. Bitterroot defeated Havre on Thursday for the right to advance.

"Again, good team work, the kids hit the ball well and played hard," Glacier coach Brent Wetsch said.

Glacier has beaten Helena three times this season.

At the State Babe Ruth 14-15 baseball tournament in Miles City on Thursday, Kyler Howke went 3 for 3, walked twice and scored three times as the Glacier All-Stars whipped Gallatin Valley 11-9.

Howke was named Glacier's MVP for the game.

Glacier is back in action today versus North Bitterroot at 4:45 p.m.
