Patricia Ann Jennings Willette, 78

| July 26, 2011 2:00 AM

Patricia Ann Jennings Willette passed away Dec. 2, 2010, into the loving arms of her adoptive father and mother, Ed and Ocie Jennings.

Patty was born Oct. 23, 1932, in Tacoma, Wash.

As a young girl, her mother would take her to The Rebekahs, and as an adult she became very involved. Through The Rebekahs Club she was able to go on many trips.

She went to Kinman College in Spokane, and then on to Montana State University in Missoula, from which she graduated. She was very proud of her accomplishment. But due to her mother's failing health, she decided that her duty was to her family and she became a caretaker to her parents.

In 1988 she met and later married Lloyd A. Willette and moved to Seattle, much to the dismay of her mother's many friends, whom she showered with love.

Patty had a cute, unique sense of humor. She loved life and her friends to the fullest. Patty was an only child, so the friends she made over a lifetime were very dear to her — Barbara Lawrence, Rita McDowell, Shirley Spears and many dear friends too extensive to give proper mention.

Patty is survived by her cousin, Joan Bump Inman; sister-in-law, Shirley Willette Spear; and many cousins.

Patty was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Willette, on Nov. 19, 2010.

Interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, followed by a reception at the home of Barbara Lawrence, hosted by Joan Inman. Please come and share in the celebration of Patty's life and share your stories about Patty. Barbara's address is 492 Conrad Drive in Kalispell.
