Timothy F. McLure, 52

Timothy F. McLure, 52, passed away unexpectedly on the night of Friday, July 22, 2011, while attending a concert in Missoula.

Timothy was born in Kittery, Maine, Nov. 18, 1958; soon after his family relocated to Polson where he spent the majority of his life, including his schooling. Tim graduated from Polson High in 1976 and went on to do some schooling at the University of Montana.

Timothy started serving the local people at age 18, becoming a part of tribal law enforcement, then later was employed by the NYPD, only to return a few years after. He had many dedicated years to the Tribal K-9 unit, and took his work very seriously, along with caring for the tribal people as a whole.

Timothy was predeceased by his parents, Velia and Timothy McLure, along with his brother-in-law, Randy Willoughby.

He is survived by his loving children, Timothy and Niche; in addition to his four siblings, Maureen, Carol-Ann, Terrance and Kevin; and his nephews and nieces, Christina, Timothy, Tomas Terrance and Quentin.

Traditional wake services will begin at 1 p.m. today, July 27, at the Elmo Hall in Elmo, with a vigil service at 8 p.m. A Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, at the Elmo Hall, with interment to follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens in Kalispell.
