A Kalispell woman died from injuries suffered in a single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 15 south of Butte on Sunday morning.

Authorities identified the driver as Carol S. Rose, 65.

Rose was driving north on the interstate near the Glen exit in a 2001 Subaru Forester when she drifted off the road into the median about 10:30 a.m., according to the Beaverhead County Sheriff’s Office.

She overcorrected two times, traveled back into the median and overturned.

She was found by passing motorists lying in the median, where they performed CPR on her until emergency responders arrived.

She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators determined Rose wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Speed was a factor in the deadly crash, the sheriff’s report indicated.
