The motorcycle passenger who was struck by a falling rock Tuesday on Glacier National Park’s Going-to-the-Sun Road has been treated and released from Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Denise Germann, the park’s public affairs officer, did not know the woman’s identity or the exact nature of her injuries.

The woman was a passenger on an eastbound motorcycle when she was struck by a 10-to 15-pound rock near Triple Arches on the west side of Logan Pass.

She was knocked unconscious for a short time and had to be transported by Three Rivers Ambulance to a lower point on Sun Road where ALERT helicopter could land.

She was flown to Kalispell Regional Medical Center, where she was treated and soon after released, Germann said.
