Police investigate tip from seance

The Kalispell Police Department received a harassment complaint from a woman on Merganser Drive who said her neighbor was planning to have a drug-fueled party and also was going to sexually assault her.

She said a voice told her the information during a group seance in which she and others contacted a spirit. She was advised to lock her doors and windows at night.

At the intersection of Third Avenue East North and East Railroad Street, a caller said a man threatened and spit on him or her.

Trespassing was alleged at a business on Third Avenue West North on Thursday night after a woman refused to leave and threatened to beat up an employee’s girlfriend.

Someone stole registration, insurance information and other documents from a vehicle parked in a garage on Ritzman Lane.

A man reported that he was assaulted at Woodland Park.

An officer spoke with an apparently intoxicated man after he reportedly was seen urinating outside a camper on Fourth Avenue West.

A woman on Eighth Avenue West reported that her husband was attacked by a neighbor Thursday at about 10 p.m.

Someone stole a license plate off a vehicle parked on Third Avenue East, according to a caller.

On Empire Loop, someone stole items out of an unlocked vehicle. An iPod was stolen from another vehicle on the same street.

Coins were stolen from a vehicle parked on Northern Lights Boulevard.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office looked for the driver of a red Dodge pickup truck on Montana 40 Thursday at about 2 p.m. after another driver reported that the man pointed a handgun at him during an apparent road-rage incident.

A fight between two men on U.S. 2 East in Columbia Falls at about 5:45 p.m. also was believed to be the result of road rage.

The owner of a home on Dorothy Street in Columbia Falls was counseled on “barbecue safety” after a neighbor reported the man said he just got fire insurance and planned to burn down his house. The neighbor said the barbecue was placed next to the house and was emitting two-foot flames.

On Whitefish Stage Road, a woman said her sister’s ex-boyfriend threw a wooden rocking chair at her and refused to let her enter a storage unit Thursday afternoon.

A woman on Shefferd Lane reported that someone stole a battery out of her camper.

Trespassing was alleged by a woman on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside who said people walking on her property “got nasty with her” when she asked them to leave.

Mail was stolen from a mailbox on Blue Star Ranch Road.

Deputies were unable to locate three cyclists seen urinating in front of a church on Vista Drive in Bigfork on Thursday morning.

A man on Seven Row in Somers said a nearby marijuana grow operation was exposing his young children to the drug.

A snowmobile was reported stolen Thursday afternoon at a home near U.S. 93 south of Kalispell.

Someone stole a laptop computer from a vehicle on Big Mountain Drive.

A caller on Conrad Drive expressed concerns about a 12-year-old girl he or she believed was living in a park.

On West Reserve Drive, a caller said a neighbor was making threats because she and her husband were building a shop that obstructed his view.

A woman on Montana 35 in Evergreen said she left her purse at a restaurant and that money was missing when an employee returned it to her.

A woman on Snowberry Trail called 911 and then hung up when a vehicle followed her and her husband into their driveway Thursday night. The occupants of the vehicle just wanted to tell the man and woman that their taillights were out.
