My name is Chester. I am an orange-colored long-haired cat.

My owner, caretaker, companion inherited me when my previous owners relocated to Florida. I grew up in the Missoula area and came to live in the Flathead Valley in 2002.

To say I love it here is an understatement. I have 40 wooded acres to explore and many mice, birds and squirrels to chase and capture. My favorite activity is to take my owner for walks in the woods on several miles of old logging trails that criss-cross these acres. I can see deer, birds and squirrels in the woods. I can climb partway up a larch tree, jump off and race down the trail. The woods offer places to stop and sniff the shrubs, and to chase moths.

Life in the Flathead is the best possible place for me and I still have my nine lives to live.
