Man uses dirty money to buy clothes

The Kalispell Police Department received a report from an employee at a business on East Idaho Street who said a transient left soiled clothing in a dressing room and paid for new clothes with money covered in fecal matter at about 11 a.m. Saturday.

Harassment was alleged by a resident of Woodland Avenue who said a woman who lives nearby threatened him or her with a rolling pin Saturday morning.

A woman who was shopping at a business on Third Avenue East North said she saw two men trying to pry the window to her vehicle open when she went to the parking lot Saturday at about 4:30 p.m. They were gone when an officer arrived.

Someone stole a wallet containing credit cards and cash from a vehicle on North Main Street. Some of the man’s belongings were found later more than a mile away.

A man on Woodland Avenue reported that his wife knocked over a bird cage, possibly killing the bird, during an argument at about 11 p.m. Friday. The man said she was being mean to him, his dog and his bird. The woman left with the dog after speaking with an officer.

A woman at a business on U.S. 93 North said she inadvertently left her purse at a checkout stand and that it was gone when she returned to retrieve it.

A shed was spray-painted on Glacier Street.

Burglary was suspected at a home on Liberty Street where a resident reported a door had been kicked in Friday afternoon. Nothing was missing.

On North Meridian Road, a woman alleged that two people were calling and threatening to assault her because of an ongoing dispute over personal property.

After a long day of shopping, a caller on Hutton Ranch Road reported that someone broke into a vehicle and stole all the merchandise Friday at about 5:30 p.m.

A man who appeared to be in his 40s was accused of hitting a young boy in the face and using harsh language outside a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

Nothing appeared to be missing after someone rifled through a vehicle parked on Empire Loop.

A resident of a medical facility on Liberty Street became agitated and attempted to break a window and rip a fire extinguisher off a wall, according to an employee.

Indecent exposure was reported on Third Avenue East where a woman said a man pulled over in his vehicle and exposed himself to her 13-year-old daughter as she was walking on the sidewalk at about 9 p.m. Friday.

A resident of Sixth Street West called police when a young boy about 4 or 5 years old crawled under his vehicle after he stopped to prevent the boy from running in front of traffic. The boy was returned to his mother.

An iPod, adapter and a purse were stolen from a vehicle parked at a business on Hutton Ranch Road late Friday night.

A man told officers he would walk home after it was reported that he was passed out on the corner of Second Avenue East North and East Idaho Street.

Extra patrols were requested on Fourth Avenue East at about 2 a.m. Saturday. A woman said she was afraid of retaliation after her husband spoke with two youths who were acting suspiciously in front of her house.

A woman was caught shoplifting at a business on U.S. 93 South Saturday at about 7 a.m.

A physical disturbance was reported at a home on Empire Loop Saturday morning. A man said he and his girlfriend were arguing because she came home at 5 a.m. and admitted to cheating on him.

An employee at a pawn shop on Fourth Avenue West North asked to speak to an officer after the owner of a stolen kayak found the kayak in the business.
