FVCC graduates record class of 388 tonight

Flathead Valley Community College graduates a record-breaking 388 students at 7 p.m. today at the Christian Center at 255 Summit Ridge Drive.

The largest ceremony in the college’s 43-year history includes students who finished graduation requirements in the summer, fall and spring for a total of 438 degrees and certificates. National Campus Compact President Maureen Curley will make the commencement address.

Also at the ceremony, Curley will announce practical nursing student Katherine Emerson as the winner of the Newman Civic Fellow Award from Campus Compact.

The award recognizing inspiring student leaders who tackle community problems.

College President Jane Karas will present her sixth annual Montana Mentor Award to a community leader.

A reception follows tonight’s commencement at the Arts and Technology Building on the FVCC campus.
