Doris 'Pat' A. Webb, 87

Doris “Pat” A. Webb, 87, of Polson passed away on Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at St. Joseph Hospital following years of ill health. 

Pat was born on her brother’s birthday in 1923 in the railroad station at Pompeys Pillar. Her father was a frequently-transferred Northern Pacific station master, which meant that Pat attended 13 schools in Montana, graduating from Havre High School. While attending school in Cut Bank she met her future husband, Carlyle “Chic” Webb.

Pat and Chic owned Flowers By Carlyle for 50 years. The business included a greenhouse, growing fields and flower shop. She was the charter president of the Jaycees, held many offices in Soroptomists, was Worthy Matron of Eastern Star, Chapter 53, served on boards for the Rainbow for Girls and DeMoley, among many other community activities.

Pat is survived by her husband, Chic, at the family home; daughter, Dr. Khelly S.J. Webb of Long Beach, Calif.; son, Craig and his wife, Carmille, of Mesquite, Nev.; sister, Virginia and husband, William Green, of Oregon City, Ore.; brother, Emmitt of Whidbey, Wash.; and numerous nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Polson. Inurnment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Polson.
