Knights fall short

BURLEY, Idaho - A short staff of Glacier Knights ran out of gas against the Mini-Cassia Diggers in Rocky Mountain Football action late Saturday.

The Diggers pulled away from the Knights and won 21-12, dropping Glacier's record to 2-3 overall for fourth place.

With only 21 players travelling, Glacier racked up its lowest offensive total of the season, 197 yards.

Quarterback Jeff Greenwell ran in the first touchdown from 1-yard out and connected on a 35-yard scoring pass to Dan Holguin in the third quarter to finish the Knights' output.

Greenwell finished 10-for-23 for 120 yards and two interceptions and a fumble. He was sacked three times.

Usual standout running back Mike Kuehne was held to his lowest output of the season, rushing for 36 yards on 18 carries.

Holguin led in receiving with 68 yards on four catches.

Leading defense was Levi Walker, who had three interceptions and two tackles and deflections. Jesse Shaw had nine tackles, Dre Wilson had five. Kuehne had four and an interception.

The Knights remain on the road next week for a game against the Gallatin Valley Snow Devils.
