Burglar takes time for a meal

Kalispell Police Department received a report from a woman on Seventh Avenue East Wednesday who said it appeared as though someone had burglarized her home and eaten dinner. A window leading to the home’s basement had been broken.

A man on Third Street West returned home to find that an Xbox and DVDs had been stolen and that someone had apparently rifled through several drawers.

An officer responded to a verbal disturbance on East Nicklaus Avenue where a man said his estranged girlfriend had taken his keys and cellphone and was breaking things. The officer learned the woman broke only a photograph of herself and the man, which belonged to her.

Someone at the intersection of Seventh Avenue West North and West Washington Street wanted to file a report after seeing someone throw dog feces in the road.

Pain pills were reportedly stolen from a vehicle parked at a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

The victim of a theft reported on Eighth Street East said she found some of her stolen jewelry at a pawn shop.

After an employee at a business on U.S. 93 North accused a driver of leaving without paying for $8 in gasoline, the driver told the officer he had indeed paid for it.

Pain medication was stolen from an 84-year-old man on West Lakeshore Drive in Whitefish for a second time.
