Teen cited for allegedly starting fire

Kalispell Police Department officers cited and released a teenage boy allegedly seen starting a fire near West Railroad Street Tuesday morning. Employees of a nearby business stomped the fire out. A caller said the boy started the fire near the location of a suspicious blaze that recently destroyed a vacant building in the area.

Fraudulent checks were reportedly received by someone on First Avenue West.

Someone used a rock to break the windshield of a vehicle parked behind a bar on Airport Road.

Criminal mischief was reported on Sixth Avenue West where a caller said someone applied pepper spray to the door handle of a vehicle. Several similar reports have been made in the past week.

On North Main Street, a caller accused a community member of “assaulting the farmer’s market” with a bullhorn on Saturday.

A woman on Third Avenue East North said she didn’t want to pursue charges after a caller reported seeing a man pushing her during an argument.

Suspicious activity was alleged by an employee at a business on North Main Street who said a man claiming to be a law enforcement official was being lewd and obnoxious and had been refused service.

At least one person received medical treatment after three men reportedly fought inside, then outside, a business on West Idaho Street Monday evening.

A man on Oberlin Loop said his son was threatening him but later declined to pursue charges when an officer arrived.

A woman on West California Street reported that someone has been stalking her home.

On Second Avenue West, a woman called and reported that she had shot herself up with heroin and wanted to turn herself over to police.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of road rage on U.S. 93 North where a caller said a woman jumped out of her vehicle at a stoplight and tried to grab her.

On Stillwater Loop, a man reported that a tree had fallen across the Stillwater River Monday morning creating a potential for a log jam.

Water was reportedly rushing over Foothill Road Monday afternoon.

A woman on Plentywood Drive accused her neighbors of littering in her yard.

Fraud was reported on South Main Street where a man said someone in the United Kingdom had tapped into his bank account.

Gasoline was reported stolen on Sky Gate Road in Kila.

On Lower Valley Road, a woman said that her landlord sold all her belongings because she had fallen behind on rent.

A 20-foot flatbed trailer was stolen from property along Montana 35 in Bigfork.

A stereo stolen from a vehicle parked near U.S. 2 east of Kalispell.

Theft was alleged at a business on U.S. 93 South near Whitefish where an employee said a customer has been stealing.

A woman said she discovered photographs on the Internet showing her passed out at a recent party on Tronstad Drive.

A woman on South Main Street reported that she was receiving text messages from the cellphone of her former boyfriend who recently committed suicide.
