Warren Robert 'Bob' Wilkerson, 83

| May 31, 2011 2:00 AM

Warren Robert “Bob” Wilkerson, 83, died of lung disease in Kalispell, May 18, 2011. He was born an only child to Ben and Erma Wilkerson in Hamilton on Sept. 19, 1927. He spent his early years in the Bitterroot and moved with his wife, Janis (Blair), to the Flathead Valley, where they raised three sons, Mitchell, Robin and Alex Wilkerson.

In his next season of life, Bob met and married Royalene “Blondie” and they raised her son, Duffy, in Kalispell. Following Blondie’s untimely passing, Bob entered the final season of his life, which he shared with Grace Watters, also of Kalispell. Though his time here has ended, he has entered into a new life and adventures with his Savior. Bob loved hunting, fly fishing, literature, a cold beer and a good game of cribbage.

Bob is survived by his life companion, Grace Watters; sons, Mitch Wilkerson of Kent, Wash., and Robin Wilkerson of Denver, Colo.; and grandchildren Nathan Wilkerson and Mariah Wilkerson. He was preceded in death by his son, Alex Wilkerson; his stepson, Duffy Sjong; and his wife, Royalene Wilkerson.

Bob requested no memorial service or donations, but consider casting a thought his way next time you go fishing.
