Pit bulls clash with people, fowl

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report that a woman was attacked by three pit bulls while walking her dog on Harmony Road in Kalispell. She and her neighbor were trapped in their vehicles by the snarling dogs.

It was reported that two pit bulls broke into a chicken pen on Yodel Dog Peak Road in Kalispell and began killing the chickens. When the residents approached the dogs, the dogs began to growl at them. The incident was reported to the dogs’ owner.

A man reported he went off the road with his truck on Capistrano Drive in Kalispell, and while several people were helping him get his truck out of the ditch, his medicine went missing. Among the missing medication is a bottle of Provigil, 140 tablets of 30-milligram oxycontin and 80 tablets of 15-milligram oxycontin.

Several items were reported stolen from the back of a truck.

It was reported that three tires with black rims were stolen from in front of a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Several items were reported stolen from a home on Parliament Drive in Kalispell.

The Kalispell Police Department received a report from a resident of Seventh Avenue West who said he awoke to the sound of his four-wheeler being stolen from his garage. He said the garage door had been locked, but when he got out of bed and went to investigate, it was open and the four-wheeler was gone.

A resident of U.S. 93 South reported a man tried to get inside her vehicle and that he was leaning in, looking inside the vehicle when he came outside.

A woman reported someone got into her garage on Fifth Avenue West and searched her vehicle. A wallet-shaped umbrella was reported missing.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that several items were stolen out of two vehicles on Third Avenue East.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of sexual assault on Houston Drive.
