Police seek man who stole deposit bag

Sunday evening, deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office looked for a man who reportedly stole a cash deposit bag left sitting on the counter at a business on Montana 35 east of Kalispell. The clerk was about to make a money drop and left the bag on the counter when the suspect came in and grabbed it. Sheriff Chuck Curry said Monday morning that detectives were reviewing surveillance footage from the business and continuing the investigation.

Later Sunday evening, a woman in Lakeside reported that she was sexually assaulted in Volunteer Park by a man wearing blue jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt.

A man in a white Camaro reported for reckless driving on Montana 82 was stopped and arrested for driving under the influence.

A caller in Columbia Falls told police Sunday that she has been having problems with dogs harassing her llamas.

Thirty-four gallons of fuel were reported stolen from a business on U.S. 2.

Someone reported finding a purse in a creek in Kalispell.

A caller in Kalispell told police he was almost hit by a car at the intersection of Trumble Creek Road and Rose Creek and later saw someone jump out of the moving car.

Sunday evening, a caller on North Main Street told the Kalispell Police Department that a man had propositioned a woman working the front desk for sex and made lewd comments to her.

Monday morning, a caller asked for extra patrols at the intersection of Northridge and Parkway drives, advising officers that people regularly refuse to stop for the kids crossing the road there. The caller was asked to write down license plate numbers on suspect vehicles so those drivers can be spoken to directly.

A caller on First Avenue West North reported the license plates stolen off a vehicle.

Monday afternoon, a caller on West Idaho Street said an unknown man spit tobacco in his face.
