Vaughn Norman Gaschet de l'Isle, 65

Vaughn Norman Gaschet de l'Isle, 65, passed away peacefully on Oct. 23, 2011.

Vaughn was born in Spokane on March 10, 1946, to Stanley and Rosa Gaschet de l'Isle.

He served in the U.S. Army and was a Viet Nam veteran. He graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering. In 1974 he moved to Kalispell, working for Flathead Electric Cooperative as manager, engineering, retiring after 32 years of service. 

On July 18, 2009 Vaughn married Eleanor Permites Partusa with the support of members of the local Harley Davidson organization.

In addition to Eleanor, he is survived by his three daughters and their husbands, Maria and Bart Dobbs, Joni and Wilson Foster, and Sandra and Greg Hendricks; two brothers, Scott Cross and Ted Cross; and his first cousin, Violet Avery. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tyler, Nick and Cody Dobbs; Jamil and Jordyn Foster; Ashley and Amy Hendricks; and Anabella Hernandez.

Vaughn loved outdoor activities, including camping, hunting and motorcycling. He also enjoyed music, mastering the fiddle, guitar, banjo and piano. He was an active member of Flathead Valley Muzzleloaders with his wife.

Vaughn enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a loving and kind husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend.
