A Columbia Falls man charged with felony criminal endangerment,

misdemeanor resisting arrest and misdemeanor driving under the

influence pleaded not guilty to all charges recently in Flathead

District Court.

Joby Bealmer, 34, was arrested Oct. 18.

According to charging documents, officers responded to Bealmer’s

home after a report of shots fired.

They contacted Bealmer as he was driving down his driveway. He

admitted to firing his gun into the woods behind his house after

returning home and seeing a light in his bedroom turn off.

Bealmer allegedly became combative as officers attempted to arrest

him, and they were forced to tie his legs when they placed him in

the police car to keep him from kicking out the windows. The

charging document states he continued to threaten officers and

their family members while he was transported to the Flathead

County Detention Center.

Bealmer refused any alcohol testing.
