Driver ends up in Kalispell caller's backyard

Saturday evening, a caller on Empire Loop told the Kalispell Police Department that someone drove through the fence and was standing in the backyard.

Later that night, a man in a hotel lobby told police that he was jumped at a bar by six other men. According to police, all of the parties were counseled and no one wanted to file charges.

Early Sunday morning, police were unable to locate two black cars and a red truck reported for spinning doughnuts in a parking lot on Hutton Ranch Road.

Police responded to a report of suspicious activity on East Idaho Street at about 5:30 a.m. and found a man chasing a woman.

A caller on Fifth Avenue East said an unlocked vehicle was broken into and some CDs taken.

A caller said a vehicle was hit in a parking lot on U.S. 93 the day before, causing possibly a thousand dollars worth of damage. An officer later talked with the caller's mother and learned that the daughter admitted that her girlfriend had backed into the vehicle.

A woman told police that someone has been trying to use her name to rent a room at a hotel.

A caller told police that a truck hit a little dog on Ninth Street West by the high school and then took off. The wounded dog was reunited with its owner.

The Lake County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of driving under the influence on Courville Lane on Saturday evening.
