Citations issued to 17 people for underage drinking

A total of 17 people were issued citations Friday for underage consumption of alcohol in connection with two separate incidents in Kalispell and Evergreen, according to a press release from the Alcohol Enforcement Team.

Of the 17, all of whom face charges of being minors in possession of alcohol, seven were juveniles and will appear in Flathead County Youth Court.

The other 10 were between 18 and 20 years old and will appear in Kalispell Municipal Court or Flathead County Justice Court. One 18-year-old man also faces charges of obstructing a peace officer and disorderly conduct.

The people cited were from Kalispell, Marion and Kila.
