Flathead went the distance with visiting Missoula Sentinel, posting a 25-16, 25-13, 26-28, 19-25, 15-7 Western AA volleyball win Saturday night.

Hannah Sackett powered the Bravette attack with 28 kills and 21 digs.

Kwyn Johnson added 11 kills.

Cassie Krueger and Timi Severson were the FHS block leaders with four apiece.

Flathead (10-4 and 6-2) struggled in losing sets three and four, but rebounded in the final one.

"Every part of our game was back, just rolling," Flathead coach Leon Wilcox said of the fifth set.

"Hannah Sackett showed outstanding leadership, she refused to lose. She stepped up and led by example."

Olivia Roberts led Sentinel (10-3 and 4-2) in kills with 12 and blocks with four.

Flathead fell behind 24-13 in the third set before Severson rattled off 10 straight service points.

"She was kind of our hero from the back line in that game," Wilcox said.

"We gave them a huge lead. They came out aggressive and all their serves were coming out hard."

Wilcox said the Bravettes "floor defense let up," in the fourth-set loss.

Flathead hosts Glacier on Thursday.
