Dolores B. Hileman, 84

| October 8, 2011 6:30 PM

Dolores B. Hileman died peacefully of natural causes, in Kalispell, on Oct. 6, 2011.

Dolores was born May 9, 1927, in Conrad, the second daughter of George and Marie (Nelson) Beattie. She grew up in Williams, Mont., near her family's homestead. She was a graduate of Conrad High School.

Dolores married William E. Hileman Sr., in Conrad on June 24, 1952.

She was employed at the Farmers State Bank in Conrad for many years before retiring to move and raise her family in Kalispell.

After her husband Bill Hileman died in 1983, Dolores enrolled at and attended Flathead Valley Community College and then returned to work, ultimately retiring from her job with the Flathead County Agency on Aging shortly after her 80th birthday.

Dolores was a 33-year breast cancer survivor. She was most happy when surrounded by her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Relatively conservative by nature, she rarely flirted with the edge but for the time spent with her daughter Cindy and the other members of her bowling team.

The matriarch of three practicing attorneys, it was impressive that she never lost a family argument.

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Margaret Iverson; her sister, Kathleen Burns; and her husband, William E. Hileman Sr.

She is survived by her sister, Donna McPherson, of Billings; her brother, Dennis Burns, of Arlington, Wash.; her children, son, William E. Hileman Jr., and spouse, Susan Lacosta, of Whitefish; daughter, Cindy Hileman, and spouse, Terry Schend, and son, Daniel W. Hileman, all of Kalispell; and daughter, Lisa Oliveria, and spouse, Ray Oliveria, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; eight grandchildren, nine great-grand-children; and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family service at Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home.
