Ruby Conner, 88

Ruby Doraine Victoria Conner passed away on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at the Whitefish Care and Rehabilitation Center in Whitefish. Ruby was born Oct. 19, 1922, to Victor and Aldina (Pearson) Roos.

Ruby grew up in Cloverland, Wis., and left the farm community to attend St. Paul Bible College in St. Paul, Minn. There she met her husband, James F. Conner. After graduation they married in her hometown of Cloverland on June 9, 1944.

James was an ordained minister and they served for almost 30 years under the Christian and Missionary Alliance affiliation. Together James and Ruby had five children: four sons and one daughter.

Their ministry took them to several states and two provinces of Canada.

James preceded Ruby in death in Medford, Ore., on May 27, 1974. Ruby then moved to Kalispell, living out the rest of her years where three of her sons live.

Ruby is survived by her sister Dorthy Vik, of Poplar, Wis.; her children, Gary and Sally Conner of Kalispell, Sue and Wayne Wright of Alta Loma, Calif., Dan and Cindy Conner of Whitefish, Jim Conner of Whitefish, and Tim and Patty Conner of Sandy, Utah; eight grandchildren and their spouses; three great-grandchildren; and numerous friends.

She was a beloved wife and mother who served the Lord with all her mind and heart her entire life. She will be missed.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at 2 p.m. at the Johnson-Gloschat Funeral Home. Burial will follow at C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
