From left, Jeffrey Funk pedals as Seth Axelsen and his 10-year-old son, Daylan, feed apples into a grinder Wednesday afternoon at Funk’s home in Bigfork. Funk made the three-sink bath and grinder to run soley on self-generated power and using items found at the dump. Funk will be bringing the grinder and apple press to the Community Cider Press Saturday at noon on the deck of La Provence in Bigfork. The event, sponsored by the Essential Stuff Project, is free and open to the public. Those who wish to participate are asked to bring containers and rinsed apples.
