Cops can't find sick, bloody man

The Kalispell Police Department received a report from a Third Avenue West resident that a man showed up at his house, throwing up and with blood on his face. He then left the caller’s home. Officers spoke to other people in the area but were unable to locate the man.

It was reported that a pit bull on Second Avenue West appeared to have been abused and had a huge chunk taken out of the side of its cheek and blood on its face. Officers were unable to locate the animal.

A Liberty Street resident reported a neighbor walking around naked outside late Wednesday night.

A Hawthorn Avenue resident reported the smell of marijuana coming from the apartment below hers.

Silver coins and prescription medication were reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle on First Avenue East North.

Ski pants were reported stolen from a business on Hutton Ranch Road.

A purse was reported stolen from a vehicle on Third Avenue East North.

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received a report of two children from Columbia Falls coming into a business on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell, cashing in approximately $500 in change and claiming they had an additional $1,000. They were in the store all morning Wednesday and mentioned that they had already been to another location.

An attempted break-in was reported at a home under construction on River Butte Drive in Columbia Falls. The door was damaged, and the electricity was turned off from the outside. Nothing was missing, however, and it was assumed the burglars did not make it inside.

A burglary reportedly happened Friday night at a home on Ferndale Drive in Bigfork. Phone lines to the home were cut, and a purse was taken as well as a bag of over-the-counter medications.

Hunting gear was reported stolen from the back of a truck on Montana 35 in Kalispell.

The Whitefish Police Department received a report of assault on East Fourth Street.

An incident of criminal mischief was reported on Edgewood Place.

A burglary was reported on U.S. 93 South.

The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report that a home on Martha Road was burglarized. A “couple hundred” dollars in change and oxycontin pills were reported stolen.

Deputies with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office arrested a driver for drunk driving after a traffic stop on Montana 35 near Turtle Lake Road.

A theft was reported on Montana 83.

The Polson Police Department received a report of shoplifting at a local supermarket.
