Joy Anne Wayne, 54

Joy Anne Wayne, 54, died Oct. 13, 2011, at Alaska Regional Hospital, with her family by her side showing her all the caring and love she gave so generously to all others.

 Joy was born May 9, 1957, in Kalispell, to Herbert and Annie (Danielson) Collins. She grew up and attended school in Kalispell, graduating from high school in 1975.

She moved to Spokane where she worked as a nursing assistant in the elderly care system. She moved to Ketchikan, Alaska, where she met her future husband, Jimmie R. Wayne Sr. 

Joy traveled all over the U.S. She worked for the federal government, eventually working and retiring from Delta Airlines after 12 years. She had made her home in Anchorage, Alaska, for the last seven years.

Her family remembered her as being outgoing and for her love of meeting new people.

 She is survived by her three sons, Jimmie R. Wayne Jr., Jacob L. Wayne and Jeremiah I. Wayne; two grandchildren, Alexie N. Wayne and Julia M. Wayne; two brothers, Daniel and James Collins; her ex-spouse and good friend, Jimmie R. Wayne Sr.; and many, many good friends.

Memorial services were held Oct. 18 at Northern Lights Tabernacle, 19126 Hidden Hill Court, Chugiak, Alaska.
