Eureka wins District 7B volleyball

EUREKA - Cassidy Morgan had 10 kills and Selene Elster nine to help Eureka down Thompson Falls 25-22, 25-21, 25-22 in the District 7B volleyball tournament final on Saturday.

Elster also had a team-high two blocks and Jacquelyn Lemer led the Lions in digs with 16.

Morgan's four aces were also a team best.

The last time these two teams met, Eureka prevailed in five sets to claim the 7B regular season title.

Eureka earlier in the day topped Troy, 3-1.

"We struggled a little bit there," Eureka coach Shauna Baker said of the Troy outing.

"We got the kinks out and that prepared us for the title (match)."

Bigfork defeated Troy to finish third.

All four teams advance to the divisional tournament, which begins Thursday in Eureka.
