Polson spikes Libby in 4

LIBBY - Kenzie Clay had 14 kills and Shalaina Duford contributed 38 assists, 15 digs and three service aces as the Polson Pirates defeated host Libby in a Northwestern A volleyball matchup on Saturday. Scores were 25-21, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19.

The Loggers served 16 aces on the night.

Selinna Maefau had 16 kills and served six aces to lead the Loggers. Lauren Wepprecht added 15 kills and Alyssa Walker had 21 digs for Libby.

It was senior night for Libby.

"I felt pretty good about the way the kids competed tonight. I told them in the lockerroom to ‘just go out and play your hearts out and they did. You can't do any better than that," said Libby coach Cindy Ostrem-Johnston.

"A couple things here or there could have made a difference," she added.

The Loggers are off until Friday when they head to Whitefish for the Northwestern A Divisional tournament.
