Northwestern A divisional volleyball starts Friday in Whitefish

Regular-season champion Polson, runner-up Whitefish and third-place finisher Libby all have first-round byes for the Northwestern A divisional volleyball tournament this weekend in Whitefish.

The two-day event begins Friday with No. 4 seed Frenchtown playing No. 5 Columbia Falls at 11 a.m.

Polson will face the winner of that match at 3 p.m. Friday.

Libby and Whitefish will square off at 1 p.m.

There will also be matches at 5 p.m. and 7 on Friday.

Saturday matches are set for noon, 2 and 4 p.m. If a second championship match is necessary, that will start at 6 p.m.

The top two teams move on to the state tournament Nov. 10-12 in Bozeman.

Polson defeated Whitefish 20-25, 18-25, 25-18, 25-22, 15-7 last year in the divisional final.

Polson will be looking to advance to state for the fourth-straight year.

All-day ticket prices for divisional are $7 for adults and $5 for students. All- session passes are $12 for adults and $8 for students.
