Caller reports oatmeal, toys and lamp on auto

Sunday morning, a caller on Windward Way told the Kalispell Police Department that someone covered her car with oatmeal, toys and a lamp.

Earlier, a caller on Third Avenue West told police that someone threw eggs at their vehicle Saturday night.

A woman on Eighth Street West asked police to come move a mailbox out of her driveway so she could get to church. She told police that someone picked the mailbox up and threw it in her driveway.

Several people called police about a black dog. One person reported it lying in the middle of Airport Road. Another reported it limping in Begg Park. And someone on Merganser Drive reported it lying in their yard. Police said if someone corralled the dog they would come get it, but finally advised that they were done chasing after it.

Early Sunday morning, a woman was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence. Police stopped her on Second Avenue East.

Saturday night, a woman told police she hit a big pothole on Utah Street and may have damaged her car. Police found no sign of damage but recommended she visit her mechanic and advised the street department that Utah Street is in bad shape.

Earlier Saturday, a woman was arrested for allegedly stealing a man’s wallet on Sunny View Lane.

Someone found a bag with a check inside on North Main Street. The bag and check were returned to the owner.

A woman from out of town told police a man she had separated from was trying to charge new tires to her account at a store in Kalispell.

Someone shot out the front window of a church on Eighth Avenue East North.

A 14-year-old female was reportedly assaulted by several boys in a park on Empire Loop.

A caller on Third Avenue East made a complaint about a dog that jumped a fence and bit the caller’s hand.

Whitefish Police Department officers investigated a theft on Central Avenue Saturday morning.

A caller on Third Avenue West called the Columbia Falls Police Department to complain about salesmen going to door to door Saturday night.

The man said the salesmen came to his door and asked if he uses tissues. He told police it should be illegal for them to go door to door so late at night.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested someone for issuing a bad check early Saturday morning.

Two thefts from vehicles on Second Street West were reported to police.

Someone reported harassment on Seventh Street East.

Saturday evening, police arrested someone for making threats at Lake View Village Apartments.
