Man sentenced in two cases

A 22-year-old Columbia Falls man was sentenced to two years in jail on two cases March 29 in Flathead District Court.

Ricky Langton was charged with felony theft in a 2008 case, for which he was on probation at the time of his new charges in 2011. The new charges — of felony criminal endangerment and felony assault with a weapon — came when he drove his car at his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend after sending her threatening text messages and following her.

Langton was given two concurrent sentences of two years in jail and five years suspended on each case.
