Keenan, Weimer post best rounds for Bigfork
BIGFORK — Tom Swanson of Loyola shot a Bigfork Invitational golf tournament record round 64 on Thursday for medalist honors at Eagle Bend Golf Club.
The Loyola boys won the tournament easily, outdistancing host Bigfork by 48 strokes. Loyola had a 312 team score, Bigfork was at 360, Thompson Falls 366 and Ronan 372.
Blake Weimer had the best round for Bigfork, placing fourth with an 81.
In the girls competition, it was sisters Maggie and Sadie Crippen taking medalist and second place honors. Maggie shot an 80, Sadie an 83. Sara Keenan of Bigfork was third with an 88.
Only Loyola and Cut Bank were able to field full teams. Loyola claimed the team competition by more than 100 strokes, 366 to 478.
