A 40-year-old Kalispell man pleaded guilty to reduced charges Thursday in Flathead District Court after being charged with his fourth offense of driving under the influence.

Benjamin Bowerman was charged with felony driving under the influence after he was arrested following a three-vehicle accident on July 28, 2010, near the intersection of U.S. 2 and Poplar Drive.

On Thursday, Bowerman pleaded guilty to misdemeanor driving under the influence and felony criminal endangerment. He faces up to 10 years and one month in jail and five years suspended and a fine of between $1,000 and $60,000.

Bowerman’s prior convictions for driving under the influence came in March 1991, March 1993 and April 2010.

His sentencing is scheduled for May 31.
