Rake deters charging dogs

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office got a report Sunday from a Mountain View Drive resident who said his neighbor’s dogs, possibly mastiffs, charged him and he’d had to fend them off with a rake.

There was a report of stolen jewelry at an address on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.

A Twin Lakes Road resident reported that a neighbor was dangerously shooting at a dog and toward people.

A pregnant woman calling from a Timber Road residence reported that her husband choked her. The man was arrested for partner/family member assault.

A man turned himself in on a warrant at the county jail.

Another man turned himself in on several warrants at the county jail.

Kalispell Police conducted a pedestrian stop on a suspicious woman on Second Avenue West and ended up arresting her, possibly on a warrant.

A group of heavily intoxicated people who were “play fighting” on a lawn on Fifth Avenue East were counseled.

Monday morning, a  woman reported from a West Nicklaus Avenue address that her back-door window was shot with something, causing it to shatter.

There was a burglary report at an Airport Road address, with items taken sometime over the weekend.

There was a report of tires slashed on a vehicle parked at a home on Eighth Avenue West.

Columbia Falls Police got a report Sunday from a Ninth Street West resident who said a man threatened to get a gun and shoot his daughter.

Whitefish Police received a burglary report from a West Eighth Street address Sunday.
