Donna Lee Allen, 66

Donna Lee Allen, 66, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell.

Donna was born on Oct. 31, 1945, in Patuxent River, Md., to Don and Alice (Lynch) Allen. She was raised in Maryland, Texas, California, Tennessee, Washington, Alaska and Oregon. Donna graduated from Sunset High School in Beaverton, Ore. After high school, she attended Portland State University, in Portland.

Donna worked as a circuit board designer for Tektronix, Inc., in Beaverton, Ore., technician for FLIR, Tigard, Ore., and most recently at the Senior Dog House and Rescue in Columbia Falls. Donna was passionate about dogs and ran a dog rescue organization. She also enjoyed computer-type activities.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don D. Allen and Alice J. Allen.     

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Sousley, and her husband, Will; brother, Mike Allen, and his wife, Jacqueline; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A celebration of Donna's life will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, April 20, at the Hampton Inn, 1140 U.S. 2 W., in Kalispell.

The family requests memorials in Donna's name be made to the animal welfare group of their choice.
