Dakota James Ruiz, son of Jennifer Ruiz of Whitefish, was born Dec. 23 at North Valley Hospital.
He weighed 7 pounds, 10 ounces and was 19 1/2 inches long.
Maternal grandparents are Reynold Ruiz of Phoenix, Ariz., and Patti Ruiz of Whitefish.
