Former police cruiser goes to man's head

A man in his 20s was reported to the Kalispell Police Department for driving around in an old, auctioned-off police cruiser, pretending to do traffic stops on motorists and pretending to draw a gun on them. The person who reported him claimed to hear him yelling at people to “get out of the car.” When the reporting person confronted the man, he said he was just joking and left the scene.

A teenage boy was reported sitting on the sidewalk near the Kalispell Police Station on First Avenue East screaming and yelling at everyone who walked by over the course of a half hour.

A First Avenue West man reported that his ex-girlfriend had broken out windows.

The tires of a vehicle on East California Street were slashed.

A woman sitting on the floor of a bathroom stall in a casino on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell was reported to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office by another woman who believed she was getting high, possibly by huffing something. A responding deputy was unable to confirm she was doing anything illegal and reported she was cooperating, had no illicit substances and seemed sober. The deputy did note that as he entered the bathroom, she flushed the toilet although she had not been sitting on it.

An upset woman reported her 16-year-old granddaughter was receiving pictures of a 26-year-old man naked over the Internet.

A man was arrested for driving under the influence after being reported passed out in his truck in a parking lot off Montana 35 in Bigfork, then digging through a tackle box. Two dogs were taken from the truck and transported to the animal shelter.

A man was arrested after dragging his wife around her Evergreen house by the hair after an argument about her not being able to take their children.

A red 1999 Buick LeSabre was stolen from 11th Avenue West in Kalispell after the owner left the keys inside. It was later located.

Someone siphoned gas from a rental truck on Ninth Street West in Columbia Falls.

Someone broke into a bus barn on East Evergreen Drive in Evergreen and rummaged through the bus.

A bicycle was stolen from the end of a driveway on Smokey Bear Lane in Columbia Falls.

Several thefts were reported on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

Someone tampered with a mailbox and stole mail on Bootjack Lake Road in Whitefish.

A concerned motorist called the Columbia Falls Police Department after picking up a hitchhiker who talked about killing people and raping them. The motorist wanted officers to meet them at a gas station or pull him over to investigate the hitchhiker further.

Criminal mischief was reported on Nucleus Avenue.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a motorist during a traffic stop on U.S. 93 South.

Thefts were reported on East 13th Street and Central Avenue.

Officers with the Polson Police Department cited a person for possession of dangerous drugs at KwaTaqNuk Resort Casino.

A motorist was cited for driving with a suspended or revoked license on 11th Avenue West.
