A 23-year-old Kalispell man recently arrested on his third bench warrant in less than a year pleaded not guilty to two new felonies Thursday in Flathead District Court.

Nathan Bayreuther is charged with felony bail jumping after failing to appear for a sentencing hearing, and felony tampering with witnesses or informants after allegedly contacting a victim of a burglary in which he is accused of participating.

Bayreuther originally was charged with two counts of felony bail jumping in two cases because the sentencing hearing at which he failed to appear was also on two cases. One of the two bail-jumping cases has since been dropped.

The two new cases were set for a change-of-plea hearing May 10, on which date Bayreuther will also have a change-of-plea hearing for another case in which he is charged with felony burglary and misdemeanor criminal trespass to vehicles.

He is still awaiting sentencing on convictions for felony criminal endangerment, felony assault on a peace officer and misdemeanor bail jumping, which was reduced from felony bail jumping.

Including the upcoming sentencing on those cases, and if he is convicted of his pending charges, Bayreuther faces between two and 70 1/2 years in jail and a fine of up to $200,500.
