POLSON — Polson continues to impress on the courts.

The Pirates dropped Whitefish 5-2 and Bigfork 4-0 on Friday to improve to 9-1 in duals this spring.

The Polson girls stayed perfect with a 6-1 win over Dillon and 7-0 triumph over Whitefish.

The Pirates are 10-0.

“Brady (Hislop) probably had his best day of the year,” Polson coach Bob Hislop said.

“Two tough opponents and he won in straight sets. He played really good tennis.”

On the girls side ...

“Whitney Zimmerman rolled through her opponents without losing a game today,” coach Hislop said.

“All the singles players, girls, were undefeated for the day.”

Whitefish also tangled with Bigfork in boys play, notching a 4-1 victory.

“More than anything, I’m really starting to be impressed with the younger kids,” Whitefish coach Chris Schwaderer said.

“Sophomores Logan Blades and Holden Roberts have really been developing. I’ve been impressed. Those younger kids are kind of a surprise.”

And the Whitefish girls balanced their day with a 4-3 dual win over Dillon.

“Any time you beat Dillon in anything, it’s an accomplishment,” Whitefish coach Patrick Dryden said. “I thought Simone Craft played really well. She’s frustrating a lot of opponents. She’s improving ever time she goes on the court.”

Craft defeated Dillon’s Janet Moore, 6-2, 6-1, in No. 1 singles.

Whitefish is now 4-2 in duals.
