Gasoline spill results in police call

Officers with the Kalispell Police Department arrested a boy on several preliminary charges after responding to a report of suspicious activity on Fourth Avenue West. It had been reported that three children were trying to break into a vacant house and made it inside through a window. Alcohol bottles were reported to be on the floor.

When officers arrived, they found five people squatting in the property — which was under construction at the time — and preparing to have a party. The boy was arrested for possession of drugs and paraphernalia, being a minor in possession of alcohol and criminal trespassing.

A woman called police after having approximately three gallons of gasoline spill out of her car while fueling up at a gas station on U.S. 2 West. The gas station clerk told her she was responsible for paying for the gas, while she denied responsibility and wanted a decision to be made by officers.

A person reported their jacket and wallet were stolen at a bar on Airport Road. They said there was a diamond necklace in the jacket and $1,400 in hundred-dollar bills in the wallet.

A person was reported peeing in a parking lot off Two Mile Drive when there were young kids around.

A girl was cited for being a minor in possession of alcohol after officers responded to a report of a verbal disturbance on Fifth Avenue East.

A man was arrested on a warrant on Appleway Drive.

Car keys were stolen on Woodland Park Drive.

Tires and wheels were stolen on Eighth Avenue West.

A resident of South Cedar Drive in Evergreen reported a vicious animal to the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office after they pulled out a gun to defend themself when a pitbull was foaming at the mouth. The owners agreed to take the dog to a veterinarian.

A South Cedar Drive resident in Evergreen reported his dog was run over by an animal control officer.

A man was reported hiding in a tree off Hungry Horse Boulevard in Hungry Horse before running behind the fire hall.

A man was reported sleeping in a sleeping bag in the post office on U.S. 93 South in Lakeside.

A 12-year-old boy was arrested and transported to the Flathead Juvenile Detention Center after deputies investigated a report of disorderly conduct by the boy on Sweebee Lane in Columbia Falls.

Swords were stolen from a store on Riley Lane in Columbia Falls.

Scrap iron was stolen from U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A wallet was stolen out of a fuel truck on Somers Stage Road in Kalispell.

A bicycle was stolen from a carport on Conrad Drive in Kalispell.

A Ninth Avenue East North resident contacted the Columbia Falls Police Department after their neighbors began playing music very loud and fighting, an ongoing issue at that location. Officers were unable to make contact with the neighbors, but when they left the resident called back to say they were playing the music even louder. Officers were finally able to make contact and counseled the neighbors, who agreed to turn it down.

A man was cited for disorderly conduct after officers responded to a report of a fight on Nucleus Avenue.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department investigated a report of child neglect on U.S. 93 South.

Criminal mischief was reported on Park Avenue and East Fourth Street.

Officers investigated a report of disorderly conduct on Hospital Way.

Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person for aggravated driving under the influence on Webber Avenue.

A person was arrested on a warrant.

Officers with the Ronan Police Department arrested a motorist for criminal contempt during a traffic stop on Buchanan Street South East.
