On May 9, the Northwest Montana Bar Association will sponsor a Community Candidates’ Forum for the voting public to see, hear and question the five candidates for two Flathead County District Court judge positions.

The forum will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the Glacier High School auditorium. The event is free to attend and the public is invited.

The five candidates are Robert Allison, Vanessa Ceravolo, Bruce Fredrickson, Heidi Ulbricht and Daniel Wilson.

Attorney Michael Viscomi will moderate the program.

A panel of attorneys — John M. Wagner, Valori Vidulich and Steven Nardi — along with James Ness of Glacier Bank and retiring District Court Judge Katherine Curtis, will ask questions of the candidates. The questions will not be revealed to the candidates or the public in advance of the forum.

Current District Court Judge Ted O. Lympus, who is running unopposed for the third open seat, will also be present and respond to the questions.

During the event, the audience is invited to submit written questions to be read to the candidates for a response.

The primary election is Tuesday, June 5.

The top two vote-getters for each seat will be on the ballot in the general election on Nov. 6. The District Court Judge positions are nonpartisan.
