EUREKA — Ryan Holder had the big stick for the Kootenai Valley Rangers, who swept Mission Valley Senior Babe Ruth 7-6 and 13-3 on Sunday afternoon in nonconference baseball action.

Holder tripled in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in Dalton Smith and C.J. Henrie with out one for the come-from-behind victory in the opener.

Gallen Sullivan led off the bottom half of that inning with a double and scored on a single by Nathan Haidel to get the Rangers rally started.

In the second contest, Holder ripped a 340-foot grand-slam home run to left-center field in the Rangers’ 10-run third inning. Holder had six RBIs in that game.

Kootenai Valley (4-0 overall) plays Thursday night in its Earl Russell Round Robin Tournament.
