Where's the party? These guys found it

The Flathead County Sheriff’s Office received two reports of men who appeared to be falling down drunk, and then drove away recklessly.

One of the men pulled into a shop on U.S. 93 in Whitefish and was seen falling down while outside of his truck. When he drove away he was all over the road, nearing ditches and driving very slowly in parking lots.

Another man was seen in line at a business on West Idaho Street in Kalispell to buy alcohol, barely able to stand. He was found to have a conviction for driving under the influence in January, but deputies were unable to locate him. Drove away? Only his bartender knows for sure.

A resident of South Cedar Drive in Evergreen reported someone came by her home at 3 p.m. blowing an air horn and peeling out. She said it was not the first time it had happened and provided a license plate number, although she didn’t believe it was the vehicle’s owner who was causing the problem.

A man wanted on a county extradition warrant was apprehended by police in Anchorage, Alaska.

Threatening signs were posted in a yard on Marken Loop in Bigfork.

Bullet holes were found in the back of a building on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A 12-by-12 foot shed was stolen from Cobbler Village in Kalispell.

A person was caught on video stealing from a store on Montana 35 in Evergreen.

A large window was broken out on U.S. 93 South in Whitefish.


Officers with the Kalispell Police Department arrested a man for obstructing a peace officer and two active warrants after tracking a pickup to 14th Street. The truck had gone through one intersection and struck a street sign before later hitting another sign head-on. The driver later left the truck and went into an apartment.

Several people were counseled by an officer after someone called in an anonymous tip that they were sitting in a truck near the Woodland Skate Park talking about “someone bringing them a pound of weed.”

Officers spoke with two children who turned over Salvation Army signs on U.S. 93 South and used them as a ramp for their bicycles.

A woman was arrested on an active warrant after she was seen on Second Avenue East by an employee of the probation office.

A man, a woman and a boy were cited for theft and possession of stolen property after stolen bicycles were recovered and returned to their rightful owners.

An iPod that was stolen from a school on Fourth Avenue West was tracked to the area of Sixth Avenue East North, Fifth Avenue East North and East Washington Street using an application.

A man broke into an apartment on Liberty Street through a window and stole money.

Opened mail was found on the ground outside an apartment complex on Liberty Street.

A television and a video game console were pawned without permission by the owner’s ex-boyfriend.

A window was broken out of a vehicle on Sunny View Lane.


Officers with the Polson Police Department arrested a person on a warrant for possession of dangerous drugs with intent to sell on Eighth Street.

A person was arrested on U.S. 93 for partner or family member assault.


Officers with the Whitefish Police Department arrested a motorist during a traffic stop on Baker Avenue.


The Columbia Falls Police Department received a report of a bicycle stolen on Sixth Street West.
