Unwelcome surprise at Hungry Horse home

Deputies with the Flathead County Sheriff’s Office made a surprise discovery when they responded to a report of a home with the front door kicked in on First Avenue South in Hungry Horse. The home was full of animal feces and food and water containers. Deputies said it should be condemned.

A handyman surprised a housekeeper at a Peaceful Lane home in Lakeside by standing naked in the doorway when she showed up.

Deputies advised a noncompliant sex offender to move along after he was reported sitting in a pickup truck in a school zone watching children.

A woman was arrested on warrants after deputies investigated a disabled vehicle on East Meridian Road in Kalispell.

Someone ripped the front door off a storage unit, damaged insulation and stole wiring from a location on Canyon Road in Hungry Horse.

Someone changed the lock on a person’s storage unit on U.S. 2 West in Kalispell. The owner of the business reported he did not change it.

A dog was reported foaming at the mouth on U.S. 2 East in Kalispell.

A child was reported throwing rocks at cars in front of a bank on East Evergreen Drive in Evergreen.

Two pendants were stolen from a business on Electric Avenue in Bigfork.

A woman advised the Kalispell Police Department that her husband took two guns from her two years ago. She said she just wanted it recorded that they were registered to her but not in her possession in case they were used in the commission of a crime at some point.

An intoxicated bicyclist drew the attention of officers by falling off her bicycle, yelling at cars and running down the middle of Third Street West. She later was transported to a homeless shelter.

A woman was transported to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and later to Flathead County Detention Center after officers found her passed out in her vehicle on U.S. 93 North.

A downtown motel was added to the list for extra patrols after a transient was found living in the area at night by the property manager.

Suspected drug activity was reported on Wolfpack Way.

The registration was stolen from a vehicle on Fourth Avenue East.

A purse was stolen on North Meridian Road.

Various items were stolen from a home on Rimrock Court.

Graffiti was found on the back of a building on North Meridian Road.

A multitool was stolen from a vehicle on Fourth Avenue East.

Officers with the Columbia Falls Police Department arrested a motorist during a traffic stop on Fourth Avenue West.
