Robert 'Bob' Rechtsteiner, 87

Robert "Bob" Rechtsteiner, 87, passed away on Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Brendan House in Kalispell.

Bob was born on Aug. 28, 1924, to Victor M. and Ruth Springle Rechtsteiner in Los Angeles.

He married Ann Buss in Las Vegas; they were married for 47 years.

Bob enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, where he served during World War II from 1942 to 1946. He then served from 1950 until 1952, during the Korean Conflict. He then served for 20 years in the Air Force Reserve, retiring in 1962. Bob worked for the Los Angeles Police Department for 25 years.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Ann.

He is survived by three sons, Robert, Frank and Joseph Rechtsteiner; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

His cremains will be interred in Parowan, Utah.
