Woman says 'dirty cop' stole money, meds

A woman who was arrested Thursday night called the Kalispell Police Department Saturday evening to accuse officers of stealing medications and $100 from her vehicle.

An officer advised there were no medications in the car and said they counted the woman’s money in front of her. The woman said she was getting an attorney and accused the officer of being “a dirty cop.” According to police, the officer was wearing a personal camera at the time and the incident was recorded.

Earlier that evening, people at Woodland Park were told about its alcohol rules after someone reported them for partying and their white dog for chasing ducks. The dog turned out to be a stray and was taken to the shelter.

Later Saturday night, a woman in a tie-dye shirt was reported for jumping around on an overpass. She told police she just wanted to see what the view was like.

A caller on Second Street West said he was shot by young kids with air soft guns.

Four or five teenagers were reportedly shooting a pellet gun at houses on Austin Street.

Two people reported for suspected driving drunk were caught after a foot chase.

Young men confessed to throwing eggs at a house on Merganser Drive.

Early Sunday morning, a noise complaint on 11th Street East was a group of adults playing beer pong.

Six people were reportedly fighting outside a bar.

Ten people were reported for fighting outside a bar on Woodland Park Drive.

A man asked to leave a casino on U.S. 93 pulled out a knife and threatened to use it.

Someone went through an unlocked vehicle on Third Avenue East. Nothing was damaged or missing.

Saturday morning, a woman on Nucleus Avenue told the Columbia Falls Police Department a man was taking gas out of her plow truck. She said she saw the man and he tried to talk to her. An officer later advised no gas was taken, the tank was empty.

A woman on Scenic Drive said $1,200 went missing from her checking account.

Someone at a bar called the police to report a man who came in and passed out on the floor. The caller said the man was over-served at another bar, and that he is tired of people getting over-served there and coming to his bar.

Two parties fighting on Diane Road were counseled.

Officers with the Whitefish Police Department responded Saturday morning to a trespass complaint on West Second Street.

Reckless driving was reported on State Park Road.

Early Saturday, officers with the Polson Police Department arrested someone for possession of alcohol or an intoxicant after responding to a disorderly conduct complaint on 10th Avenue East.

Officers with the Ronan Police Department arrested someone for simple assault at a motel Saturday morning.
