| August 1, 2012 6:00 PM

The umpteenth annual Stillwater Landing “splash in” takes place Friday through Sunday at Stillwater Landing.

The event is hosted by Bill Montgomery, owner of Stillwater Landing, and the Experimental Aircraft Association’s Glacier Chapter. Stillwater Landing is located 15 miles west of Whitefish on U.S. 93 West on Lower Stillwater Lake.

The splash in kicks off Friday with a no-host happy hour at 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted for beer, wine and soda. Dinner is from 6 to 7 p.m. and features pulled pork, beef brisket or turkey provided by Piggyback Barbeque.

Friday night also features open mic entertainment and a sea plane slide show.

Saturday starts with a pancake breakfast and a fly-out lunch to Seeley Lake and Lindy’s Landing sea plane base. There’s another happy hour and barbecue that evening, and music featuring special guests from Nashville, Tenn.

The event wraps up with a continental breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Sunday.

RSVP to Ry Keller, president of the Experimental Aircraft Association, to make sure there is enough food for everyone.

There is parking for 50 float planes on the lake, with a dock and ramp for loading if necessary. Camping is available on site.
