Advance tickets on sale for fair carnival

 A limited number of discounted tickets for the 2012 Northwest Montana Fair and Rodeo’s carnival now are on sale at the CHS Convenience Store, 120 W. Idaho St. in Kalispell, and at the fair office.

The advance tickets cost $20 each and are good for unlimited rides for one person for one day, plus $3 worth of food and game tokens.

The tickets can be used any day of the fair, from Aug. 15-19. Fair-goers can purchase the advance tickets until 4 p.m. Aug. 14 or while supplies last.

Pepsi and The Monster are sponsoring “Eat, Drink and Be Merry” on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 14, with a coupon available at www.monster1039.com. Purchase an unlimited ride stamp and $2 worth of food and game tokens for $18 with the coupon. The carnival will open at 5 p.m. that day.

McDonald’s is sponsoring Kid’s Day on Thursday, Aug. 16. Children 12 and under receive free admission to the fairgrounds and are eligible to purchase an unlimited ride stamp and $3 worth of food and game tokens for $19 with a coupon available at all local McDonald’s restaurants. The carnival will open at noon.

The Daily Inter Lake is sponsoring Family Fun Day on Sunday, Aug. 19, with a $5 coupon available only in that Sunday’s newspaper. Purchase an unlimited ride stamp and $3 worth of food and game tokens for $25. Also on Aug. 19, parents can join in the fun by purchasing 10 ride tickets and $5 worth of food and game tokens for $10 if accompanying children with the unlimited ride stamp. The carnival will open at noon.

Inland Empire Shows Inc. will fill the fairgrounds with more than 60 rides, games and attractions. The carnival company has been touring the West since 1960.
