Search teams have found more partial boot tracks believed to belong to missing hiker Jakson Kreiser in the Floral Park Area.

According to a release from the National Park Service, the tracks were similar to the boots believed to be worn by the 19-year-old Michigan native, and are believed to be different than those found on July 31.

Incident Commander Scott Emmerich said search efforts would continue on Saturday, with ground and aerial operations focused on the Floral Park and Avalanche Basin areas. Some members of the search team spent Friday night in the backcountry and planned to repeat the effort Saturday night.

Today marks the eighth day of the search for Kreiser, who was reported missing after failing to return from a day hike on July 28.

Kreiser is 6 feet 2 inches tall with short, black curly hair and a black beard. It is believed he is wearing a yellow-gold sweatshirt and gray colored khaki pants and carrying a gray and yellow backpack.

People who may have seen Kreiser in the Logan Pass, Hidden Lake, Floral Park or Avalanche Lake areas are urged to contact park dispatch at 888-7800.
